About Me

I have been writing since I was a child. Growing up I wrote short stories, novels, and even some screenplays. As an adult, I have written professionally for 16 years. I have tackled technical documentation for the computer and manufacturing industries. I wrote website content, marketing materials, and press releases for several small businesses I owned. Most rececently I have been writing album and concert reviews for my country music website the International Country Music Database.

Over the last five years I have received a lot of communications and press materials from independent music artists. Some of what I received was well done, but there was a lot that needed help. Although I listen to all music I receive, regardless of the presentation, I know there are many in the music industry who will just toss a poor press kit in the trash without ever listening to the music. I decided I wanted to help give indie musicians a better chance to get their music heard by providing quality written material for these artists.

Because of my experience in small business and the fact that indie musicians really are small businesses in and of themselves, I knew that I could also offer quality help to small business owners as well.
